Red Wings, Chiefs Postponed Wednesday

 

ROCHESTER – For the ninth time this season, the Rochester Red Wings have had a scheduled baseball game postponed. The Wings were scheduled to play the Syracuse Chiefs Thursday, June 27 at 6:35 p.m. in Syracuse but the game was called off due to poor field conditions and rain in the forecast.

The teams will play a doubleheader Thursday, June 28 starting at 5:05 p.m. Besides the nine postponements, the Wings and had another game suspended. That was last Sunday’s contest against the Scranton/Wilkes Barre RailRiders. That home game for Rochester is scheduled to resume July 30 with Rochester coming to bat in the bottom of the fourth inning and trailing 4-1.

Following the Thursday doubleheader, Rochester returns home for a three-game series with Lehigh Valley beginning Friday at 7:05 p.m.
