Spencer German – Spencer is the ROC Sports Report’s head administrator and our man in the know out at One Bills Dr. throughout the offseason and regular season. He spent three years working as Sports Director for 97.5 The Team, which used to be Rochester’s local CBS Sports Radio affiliate, before joining the RSN team and serves as co-host of the Buffaloaded podcast. Ryan Lasal – Ryan started with RSN in 2015 as co-host of The Huddle TV Show. Ryan has covered the Buffalo Bills for RSN in every facet, from OTAs to post-game reactions; he gives Bills fans the best analysis and breaks it down so even the most casual fan can engage in the discussion, which he often initiates via Twitter (@RyanLasal_RSN). This season, Ryan expanded his role, becoming the voice of the Golden Eagles, as RSN began covering SUNY Brockport football games.
Icey Vick – Icey has been the co-host of The Huddle TV Show since 2015 and continues to be the pulse of the Buffalo Bills for Rochester sports fans. From OTA and training camp locations as well as various home and away games throughout the season, Icey is a pure “stats guy.” He pushes the analytical envelope with a simplistic delivery and continues to bridge the gap between die-hard and casual Bills fans. Matt Winthrop –Matt is a 2014 graduate of The College at Brockport State University of New York with a degree in Journalism and Broadcasting. While at Brockport, Matt was a member of the college radio station, WBSU 89.1 The Point, where he held positions such as Sports Director, Program Director and Operations Manager. Matt was the play-by-play broadcaster of high school hockey for the 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 seasons while at The Point. He was also play by play for the Brockport Golden Eagles hockey team for the 2013-2014 season, winning the radio station’s award for best sports broadcast team. Matt is also the lead play-by-play for high school hockey games televised on WBGT – My 18 Sports and broadcasts junior hockey games for the Rochester Monarchs. @matt_winthrop.
Matt Stathopoulos – Matt is a 2013 graduate of the State University of New York College at Brockport with a degree in Media Production and Sport Management concentration. He has had internships with the Rochester Americans, Rochester Red Wings, and Youngstown Phantoms over the last few years. Additionally, he served as the Public Address Announcer at Monroe Community College for the school’s basketball, soccer, and hockey teams. During the 2012-13 hockey season, he served as the play-by-play announcer for Brockport Golden Eagles hockey on WBSU 89.1 The Point. Additionally at The Point, he covered local college hockey teams, including Canisius College and Niagara University. He currently resides in Henrietta, NY and works full-time for the Rochester Knighthawks.You can follow him on twitter @m_stathnyr.
Dan Borrello – Dan is 2002 graduate of his “second home,” St. John Fisher College in Rochester, NY. Before graduating, he got his start at WHAM 1180 and the old, Hot Talk 1280 WHTK, where he produced “The Brad Davies Show,” and co-hosted “The Sunday Morning Bullpen.”
In 2008 he was named the producer/sports reporter of “The Break Room” morning show on 96.5 WCMF, while anchoring local sports updates on SportsRadio 950 ESPN.
In 2014, Dan partnered with longtime, award-winning sports columnist, Scott Pitoniak to co-host “The Radio Press Box,” on the seldom-promoted 95.7 ESPN Rochester for two years. And no, they didn’t name the show themselves, and have apologized many times.
Dan is a sports writer and columnist for The Times of Wayne County, and hosts The Dan Borrello Show on ROCSportsNetwork.com and presented by Connors & Ferris.
Rich Bystron – A former 3 sport athlete and avid angler, Richard took his love for sports down South to Nashville for 15 years. While there he gained a major appreciation for college scouting and more specifically the NFL Draft. Since being back he has focused his energy on the Buffalo Bills and Sabres, two areas he’ll contribute to for ROC Sports Report. Rich will also dabble in covering baseball – particulalry the AL East and Red Sox – for the site, and when football season rolls around he’ll be your go-to guy for fantasy.
